The invitation for applications for Editor-in-chief of TVS news programme ran out on December 22, 2014, together with the invitation for Editor-in-chief of TV programmes of the regional centres in Maribor and in Koper. Both in Ljubljana and in Maribor three candidates filed their applications, and five in Koper. Jadranka Rebernik, who got the support of the editorial board among the three candidates, will thus take up a duty of the acting editor-in-chief of the TV Slovenija news programme, and of the acting editor-in-chief of the special national programme intended for parliamentary content (TV SLO3). The other candidates for this position were Miha Žorž and Valentin Areh.
The first task is merging of the editorships
RTVS General Manager Marko Filli explained the reason Jadranka Rebernik became the acting editor-in-chief, and not the editor with full mandate. "She became the acting editor-in-chief of two editorships, and her duty is also to prepare a plan for their merging, as stands in our business plan for this year". As soon these two editorship merge into one, which should happen within six months, the editor-in-chief of this single editorship will be appointed for the full mandate, Filli explained.
Editors appointed in Maribor and Koper
As reported by RTVS, on January 10 Zoran Medved will start a 4-year mandate as the editor-in-chief of the Regional television programme in the Regional RTV Centre Maribor, while in Koper Matej Sukič will start his 4-year mandate on January 19.
