The festival saw 70 events over 13 venues across Črnomelj’s old town centre and featured around 1200 performers from 12 countries.
The international festival showcased ethnic music and folklore acts. Blending traditional and modern elements, this year’s festival programme focussed on diversity and multiculturalism.
"Given the history of the festival, it is vital that the festival maintain its tradition. This is best reflected in the festival programme which focusses on folklore acts," festival organizer Urša Flek told MMC.
"Tradition is very important to the people of Bela krajina. It is firmly rooted in the consciousness of the local community, and they do the best they can to pass it down to the next generation."
