"I talked with Jan, we were together. He was very simple, our talk was very short and we quickly reached a conclusion... what Jan has practically already announced ... that he would happily accept the call to come play for the Slovenian national team," Kek told TV Slovenija journalist Anže Bašelj.
Kek is pleased with the work so far: "Everything is happening the way it should. I'm pleased with the reaction of the players. I've already contacted some of them and I still have to contact some of the others, but you can't do it all at once. I only wish that this positive trend continues until the end. This makes me optimistic, as there's a lot of positive energy, good will and motive."
Bašelj asked coach Kek if he was already thinking about Slovenia's style of play, as the team has had difficulties scoring goals: "We're going into details now, but I agree with you that Slovenia can play better. I think there is potential. I don't see a lot of negative points, but it’s normal for such things to surface when you don't have good results. With a positive energy, positive response and energy from the stands, I think we can all turn the curve in a positive direction."
