Bine Kordež admitted to abuse of office in business deal regarding Primskovo shopping centre, as confirmed by the Specialized State Prosecutor's Office for TV Slovenia. The sentence has not been pronounced yet.
After more than three years of judicial processes, and after a year Kordež spent in prison, it seems the story about a nine-million damage of the retailer from Naklo is coming to an end. The prison sentence for Kordež will be pronounced next year, Rina Hojnik reported for TV Slovenija.
Kordež, who had repeatedly denied the charge, is guilty of abuse of office and forgery. Now the court must give its opinion on the plea deal; the decision will be made in January. Kordež refused to comment and therefore the details of the deal remain unknown.
Guilty, acquitted, once again guilty
Already in September 2012 the District Court found Kordež guilty of abuse of office and forgery of business documents, and sentenced him to five years of prison and a fine of EUR 39,504.
