The organizers are convinced that by moving the location of the Ljubljana Fashion Week to the very centre of the city Ljubljana is joining those foreign fashion capitals which live for fashion during the time dedicated to presentation of collections for the coming seasons.

"It is our wish to establish the role of the Ljubljana Fashion Week as the basic communication channel, allowing fashion designers, trademark holders and fashion houses to introduce their new collections to experts from creative industry, buyers, potential investors, and journalists. At the same time we believe it is extremely important to allow general public to get in touch with the Slovenian fashion design, and to become aware of its existence. With that purpose the events were moved into the centre of the city last year already, and this year a new central stage was added – the Congress Square. It turned out to be the perfect location due to its central position, and suitable infrastructure,” Den Baruca, a member of the production team, explained.

Akultura, Almirasadar, Ana Jelinič, Draž, EBER krznarstvo (fur trade), JSP, MAJA FERME FASHION, Maja Štamol, MÊHLÊ, Miro Misljen, PRINCIP, Tanja Zorn, SENS, Sofia Nogard, Squat (Dajana Ljubičić, Ivan Rocco, Natasa Persuh, Petja Zorec) and Young@Squat will present their collections at fashion shows, joined by designers from the countries from the Balkan region.

Along with the above mentioned names who will appear at the LJFW, this year organized under the patronage of the Ljubljana City Municipality, students of the Chair of Textile and fashion Design from the Department of Textiles at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana will participate as well.
