According to Novak, the only candidate for party leadership in the next two years, her work and her team are inspired by care and responsibility to the homeland. “We’re conservative in our values, liberal in the economy and social in the civic society. We respect family, work, order and honesty,” Novak emphasized, adding that New Slovenia (NSi) would be a firm partner of any coalition whose programme would include a vision of Slovenia’s modernisation and solid foundations.

One of the main challenges of Slovenia - warns NSi’s president - is the ageing of its population, which is why the country needs policies that encourage family life. Novak has also pointed out that Slovenia is clearly losing its competitiveness. What is more, it is being taken over by former communist countries of Central and (South) Eastern Europe. The government is not capable of easing the economic burden, the judiciary system is inefficient, and small businesses are being stifled by low economic freedom, concluded the re-elected leader of NSi.
