At an election congress of the New Slovenia party yesterday Ljudmila Novak received about 73 percent of the vote, securing another term as president of the opposition NSi party, while her competitor Aleš Hojs received around 27 percent.
In the speech that followed the announcement of the results, the winner said she took note that some of those present at the congress were critical of the mistakes they believed the leadership had made, which in her opinion was as it should be.
Hojs was satisfied with the results of the vote, saying that his performance and his vision managed to convince almost one-third of the delegates. Hojs also said he expects that some of what he and other critics of the current leadership of the party had warned about will be taken into account.
