Mišič was appointed CEO on 26 August last year. This was only a week after he resigned as state secretary in prime minister Alenka Bratušek´s office and caused an uproar in the public as well in the government.

The supervisory meeting was also attended by Koper mayor Boris Popovič who was sentenced to 3 years in prison and local community representative Sabina Mozetič who was also sentenced to 1 year in prision. Both have been sentenced over a sale of property.

After his dismissal Gašpar Mišič said, he is proud of his contribution to the development of Luka Koper and is leaving the company with good business results.

Mišič be replaced by board member Andraž Novak. Novak is expected to head the company until the summer. After that a new CEO will be appointed.
