There was a tense meeting on Monday, after which Mandarić reportedly made up his mind about Bišćan’s future. It set off a wave of speculation, and the loudest was that the 40-year-old native of Zagreb, who despite leading NK Olimpija to a double crown this season and having a valid contract for another year, will have to leave.
However, Mandarić has made no final decision yet. "We inform the public that after yesterday’s meeting, the president of NK Olimpija Ljubljana Milan Mandarić and coach Igor Bišćan met today again and discussed the future of the Croatian coach. We inform you that there is still no final decision. We will inform you when it does happen. We expect to issue a final decision on the matter soon," wrote the club.
