The festival coordinator, Nina Jeza, says the slogan relates to the directions taken in Europe's year of light and luminosity, which focus on a general exit out of the grim modernity. "The international festival platform MFRU-KIBLIX returns with inspiring energy for the 21st century with the Lift me up! slogan. With the exemplary combination of art, science and technology into an intermedia up-to-date whole, it aims to upgrade the past successful years of the festival."
The central festival happenings will run from Wednesday until Friday. There will be workshops for children and youths until the midday, lectures and presentations in the afternoons and audiovisual performances and music in the evenings.
According to Peter Lubej from KID Kibla, six new productions can be seen this year, four of which are installations. He said great emphasis is put on Slovene artists, while most of the foreign guests come from East European countries.
As part of the festival, which after one year brings together again the Youth Culture Centre (MKC) and the KID Kibla Association for Culture and Education, an exhibition of 20 intermedia installations will also be on display until the 23rd of October.
