“By signing the letter, Uber and the Ministry of Public Administration have entered into dialogue with the purpose of fulfilling social, environmental and economic potentials of a growing sector of the sharing and digital economy,” announced the ministry. Joint effort stems from a shared vision of Slovenia as a green referential country in digital Europe.

Meanwhile, Slovenian trade unions have urged the minister to retract from any further cooperation with Uber, since the company’s services have been banned in many countries for attempting to evade responsibility towards its employees and consumers, pointing out a suit of Uber’s U.S. drivers for being misclassified as “independent contract workers”.
