Most of the clients came to check if they needed to take their matters to court. Approximately 500 attorneys provided free legal advice to some 3000 clients. The majority of the questions concerned property disputes between neighbors and workplace legislation.
"People are interested in what their rights are in their workplace. More and more people are self-employed, which is just another form of insecure part-time work. This results in many questions," explained representatives from one of the law offices.
The pro bono day has become a tradition. It's intended primarily for those who have legal problems but can't afford an attorney.
