At the reception Vujicic told Pahor his life story. Nick was born without arms and legs, yet became a person who inspires and motivates people all over the world.
The President of the Republic in his press statement explained that the conversation was extremely touching and thought-provoking, oriented towards directing the young to grow into good people. "We all wish our children to grow in to good people. I am overjoyed that Nick is willing to share his experience with young people and encourage them in that direction."
At the end of their meeting the President of the Republic personally showed Nick the presidential palace, and since Nick is very impressed with Primož Trubar, the President gave him a Primož Trubar's likeness in clay. Nick extended to President Pahor his personal invitation to join his address of the young in the Sport hall Bonifika in Koper.
Nick addressed the young in Koper
Vujicic had responded to the invitation by the society Zaživi življenje - društvo za osebnostni razvoj otrok, mladih in odraslih (Live your life – association for personal development of children, youth, and adults), and participated at the event Stand firm! Speak up! organized in the Bonifika Sport Hall in Koper, speaking of the culture of mutual respect, nonviolence, and tolerance, among other topics.
Within the mentioned project addressing young people Nick encourages young people all over the world to never give up, to cherish the values of mutual respect, and to never compromise their integrity when reaching for their goals.
