Adria Airways (Adria) and SDH refuse to disclose the sales procedure, reports TV Slovenia. On Thursday the largest creditors of Adria Airways talked about settling of debts, i.e. the Air Traffic Control of Slovenia, Ljubljana Airport, and Petrol, but according to unofficial information no agreements have been reached.
Adria Airways has practically no assets after the sale of the planes. The Air Traffic Control of Slovenia has the largest debt claims; being a state-owned company they cannot agree to a debt cancellation, as that could be construed as illicit state aid.
Although the number of passengers has increased, this year they will probably suffer a loss of approximately 4 to 5 million, after the profit of a million in the last year. Adria Airways was saved by the state already in 2011; when they received 50 million euros of aid. Therefore the sale is probably the only possible solution. Yet this time as well no serious buyers showed up.
