In the audit of the Bank Asset Management Company (DUTB), the Court of Auditors established that the executive pay in the bad bank was still too high.
The chairman of the management board of BAMC Lars Nyberg at the press conference stressed that all the payments were in line with the policy and regulations applying to the operation of the bad bank. The new rules apply since March. According to Nyberg, Mansson had received a bonus for work performed in the past; presently he is presenting good investments in Slovenia in London. Nyberg also mentioned that the earnings of the executives in the bad bank were reduced by more than 50%.
Nyberg also rebuked the reporting of the Slovenian media about the operation of the bad bank. From what can be read in the Slovenian media, BAMC is an extremely unsuccessful company, while the IMF, the European Commission, the European Central Bank and other institutions, according to Nyberg, agree that the Slovenian bad bank is one of the few examples of good management of assets assigned to it, and that it had good success in selling assets in some cases.
