In 1929 in Vienna, rocket engineer and expert in space technology of Slovenian descent Herman Potočnik, nicknamed Noordung, dies. With a variety of ideas in his book the Problem of Space Travel has become one of the founders of space technology. Herman Potočnik is also the inventor of the geostationary satellite.
