The winner of the award was announced in Slovenj Gradec, and Žist was chosen among 81 candidates. For winning the prize the Public Fund for Cultural Activities will finance the publishing of her first book.

Žist finds inspiration in travel, and says she writes about special people she meets on her journeys. The festival also presented a number of other promising young writers - one of the main goals of the event.
