The main event of the 25th European meeting of the owners of Harley Davidson motorcycles, the legendary American brand, took place in Portorož on Saturday. The bikers set out on a panoramic drive through the towns on Slovenian coast, starting in Lucija, past Dragonja down the Šmarska Road towards Koper, past Žusterna, along the seaside towards Izola and back to Portorož.

The meet-up started on Thursday and has been well received, as it turned Portorož into a very lively place. Hotel owners are satisfied, since bikers filled all accommodation facilities, and caterers had a lot of work, too.

Social events are accompanied by a combination of live music, DJs and partying. Organisers have also set up the H.O.G. Village, which hosts an exhibition of the newest models of Harley Davidsons, a range for demonstrational drives, a retail village for Harley Davidson memorabilia as well as an exhibition of stock motorcycles called Custom Bike Show, which opened in the nearby town of Piran.
