The local inhabitants and visitors alike can take pleasure in daily events organized at the Tartini square, consisting of the opening and closing event and six ballet or dance performances, and seven concerts, also of such renown artists as I Solisti Veneti, Tetiana Svetlična, Tijuana Križman Hudernik, Branko Robinšak, Diana Grubišić Čiković, Mladi levi and Jazzva. The organizers of the festival, including the Municipality and the Association of Cultural Societies Piran, the Portorož Auditorium, and the Association of Ballet Artists of Slovenia, which is organizing also an international ballet seminar at the time of the Piran festival, have great expectations also for the Tosca Beat group, and especially for the extremely successful ballet show Carmen, scheduled for August 1 at 9 p.m.
"Without any doubt, the third summer festival is a great contribution to cultural happening in Piran – from ballet and modern dance shows to concert of well known music performers. It also includes some events organized by others, e.g. by Giuseppe Tartini Italian Community, Giuseppe Tartini International Academy, and Studio Misson," Elizabeta Fičur , the head of the regional branch of the RS Public Fund for Cultural activities, explained the importance of the festival for Piran, and the goals the organizers had set for themselves.
The admittance to all the events at the Tartini Square is free. In case of bad weather the events will be moved to the Tartini Theatre.
