Kamnik Mayor Marjan Šarec remains Pahor’s closest challenger, but his support is unchanged from a week ago; he would receive 21.5 percent of the vote. SDS candidate Romana Tomc has seen the biggest jump in support. With 11.4 percent of the vote, she would finish ahead of NSi candidate Ljudmila Novak, who would receive 10.9 percent.

SLS candidate Suzana Lara Krause is fifth with 1.2 percent of the vote. Maja Makovec Brenčič and Andrej Šiško are both at 1.1 percent, while Boris Popovič’s is on track to receive 0.7 percent. In this round, Angelca Likovič is last with 0.2 of the projected vote.

Pahor remains a favorite to win the second round
The projected totals include the preferences of both committed voters and those who have not yet made up their minds but will definitely cast their ballots. The latter include 636 respondents out of a total sample of 1326. If a second round is needed, Episcenter polling predicts a decisive win for the incumbent President Borut Pahor, who would receive 65.1 percent of the vote, while his challenger Marjan Šarec would end up with 34.9 percent.

The poll was conducted between October 16 and 20 by Episcenter on behalf of RTV Slovenia. The sample size was 1326.
