The SDS Party (Slovenian Democratic party) remains the most popular, with 9.4% of the respondents who would vote for this party, followed by the SMC (Modern Centre party) and the United Left (ZL).
The difference between SDS and SMC on the second place is small, as 9.2% of the respondents would vote for SMC. ZL holds the third place among the voters with 7.4%, while SD (Social democrats) on the fourth place have the support of 4.2%. Next comes NSi (3.3%), SLS (1.5%), DeSUS (1.1%), and both SNS and PS with 0.8% each, ZaAB (0.4%) and DL with 0.1% support. Only one half of percent of the respondents would vote for some other party.
19.7% of the respondents would not vote for any of the parties, and 14.1% would not participate at elections. 27.5% are undetermined. The average grade for the work of the government in August is 2.54 (less than 2.60 July), and the work of the National Assembly was graded with 2.43 (julija 2,48).
President Pahor still the most popular
Among the politicians the President of the Republic Borut Pahor remains the most popular, followed by the European deputy Tanja Fajon, the European commissioner Violeta Bulc, PM Miro Cerar, Minister of Agriculture Dejan Židan, Minister of Justice Goran Klemenčič, ZL deputy Violeta Tomić, the president of the National Assembly Milan Brglez, Minister of Finance Dušan Mramor, with the leader of the ZL parliamentary group Luka Mesec in the rear of the top ten.
President of the SNS Party Zmago Jelinčič and the mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković have lost their places on the list, while the president of the SDS Party Janez Janša and the president of the ZaAB Party Alenka Bratušek are back on the top ten list.
The telephone survey was made between July 30 and 31 and between August 3 to 6 on a representative sample of 600 adult citizens, by the Delo Stik marketing research department for the Delo editorship.
