The supervisors of SDH (The Slovenian Sovereign Holding) reportedly reminded the management that it was required to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of the company. The Port Workers’ Council reported on Sunday evening that workers will return to their jobs between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will work “to their full capacity.” The workers added: "B.ecause we’ve helped to build the company and we consider it our own, we are determined not to allow you do destroy it." They also expressed their "dismay about the willful ignorance and lies of the government" and their determination to "persist to the end."
Because of complications concerning the Port of Koper, which saw a three-day pause in operations as a result of a revolt by the port workers, emergency meetings are planned involving the Port’s Board of Supervisors as well as its owner, the Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SDH).
According to Radio Slovenia, SDH’s supervisors plan to remind the management of the Port that the Board of Directors is require to guarantee he uninterrupted operation of the company. The Port’s Board of Supervisors will assess the situation at the Port as well as the consequences of a government document that proposes the introduction of a Port Management. The plan to establish a Port Management was the cause of the dispute between the Port and the government, namely the Ministry of Infrastructure.
