Positive Slovenia Congress coming up soon

The deadline for the registration of candidates for the congress of the largest parliamentary party Positive Slovenia expires today. The only reliable candidature is the one of PM Alenka Bratušek. For now it is not clear whether the party’s former President and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic will be running for the post again. Registered candidates officially become candidates only if they agree to the candidacy. They need to state their intentions by October 2. The coalition partners agree that the return of Jankovic would lead to a renewed political crisis.
