Power Dancers are among the most well-known names of Slovenian pop's golden era. They were active for ten years, during which they published six albums and recorded 13 music videos. “Those years feel like another dimension,” admits Špela. Power Dancers are celebrating 20 years since the launch of their debut album Have Fun or Die and their iconic song Ujemi me (Catch Me), which is still – or rather, one again – one of the most requested songs at 1990s music parties.
After the group broke up, the young women carried on without Natka. In 2008, they came out with a single titled Verjameš ali ne (Believe It or Not). “Even though we were exceptionally good friends, we couldn't expect all of us to sense the end of our careers at the same time,” admits Natka during a joint interview. These days, Natka is a successful choreographer and the head of a dance school.
Nowadays, families are their priority. Mateja has three sons, Cvetana has three daughters, and Špela has two daughters. “Even the fact that we are doing this interview is quite an achievement,” stresses Špela.
