Conditions suitable for industrial renaissance should be established in Slovenia. According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS), we need the state to provide a sensible business environment, sensible taxation policy, sensible personnel policy, sensible development policy, and sensible promotion of industry on foreign markets, in order to achieve that goal.

"In Slovenia a lack of discussions regarding development of the local industry can be noticed, although the local industry contributes the most to export," cautioned the president of the CCIS Marjan Mačkošek. Export is pulling us out of the crisis, therefore not only the future of the industry is important, but also how to assure suitable conditions for its renaissance.

The European Commission is of the same opinion. Already in the beginning of the last year the Commission instructed the member states to recognize the importance of industry in creating new jobs, and assuring economic growth.
