However, the prosciutto is just part of the reason why more and more Slovenians (and foreigners) go visit Uroš and Nejka Klinec in Plešivo, where the two have set up their homestead. In the last a couple of years it has become a mandatory stop for all those visiting the Brda region.
The second reason they get so much visits are their other meat products, from which it is difficult to choose a favourite. The third reason is their modern interior, which has become a gallery of pictures thanks to the art colony they've been hosting since 1997. The fourth reason, which should not be overlooked, is their terrace decorated with pots of lemon trees, olive trees, rose trees, light garlands under their pergola, and a swimming pool in the corner of the green garden.
It is no surprise that the Klinec terrace has become one of the most wanted for wedding events - they usually have up to ten weddings per season, this year they already have 12 reservations.
"Enjoy the little things" says the pillow on the armchair, which offers you a strategic view of Marjan Simčič's property in Ceglo, the green landscape of Collia, and Uroš's fireplace where they start preparing pork and beef cheeks in the morning. After seven hours they practically melt in your mouth, along with other pieces of meat that happen to be on offer.
