Firecrackers are known to be one of the most dangerous products. In Slovenia, they have been banned for years. However, this does not stop some people from using them anyway.

Moreover, visual evidence of injuries show that the use of pyrotechnical products is not decreasing. But luckily, the number of injuries is.

Needless to say, police and doctors continue to warn against using all kinds of pyrotechnical products during this time of year. Children especially, are the focus group of their warning, as mostly teenagers are still among those brought in to emergency rooms due to pyrotechnics-related unjuries.

In case, people still decide to use pyrotechnics, it is advised that the products contain the CE label and are purchased with the registered seller. Home-made products are strongly forbidden.

Being considerate of the effects of pyrotechnics on animals, is also advised.
