How much profit was made last year will be disclosed after the annual accounts have been completed. But given the fact that Radenska sold somewhat more water and soft drinks than the year before when they had a profit of almost 2 million euros, they can be satisfied.

However, Radenska will have to increase sales abroad because it now only exports one-fifth of its production, according to the first man of Radenska, Milan Hojnik. Plans have been set for 2014 in that direction but they are well aware that Radenska’s future will depend in particular on the new owner.

Interest in buying has already been publicly confirmed by the Czech company Kofola, and there is also talk about Coca Cola. The sale process is expected to end in the second half of this year.

The 209 employees at Radenska are not worried about their fate because water is becoming an increasingly valuable commodity and the springs cannot be taken away.
