Waters flooded houses and basements, threatening other buildings as well. Smaller rivers and streams also burst their banks.

Firefighters spent the whole night helping out those areas most affected - the municipalities of Rogaška Slatina, Šmarje pri Jelšah, Rogatec and Majšperk.
