In Ljubljana, Muslims gathered in the Kodeljeva sports hall to celebrate, where they were addressed by the head of the Islamic community in Slovenia, Nedžad Grabus.

The festival is merry, and includes the exchanging of gifts, celebrating with friends, and the enjoyment of special desserts. Many believers also use the day to visit family graves. In Slovenia there are roughly 50,000 Muslims.
