Rene Talić Muhammad was born with a deformed leg. Slovenian orthopedic surgeons suggested amputation, but the parents found a doctor in the United States who claimed that with an operation, the boy's leg could be saved.

46,000 euros were raised by donations for yesterday’s surgery while parents are still raising money for two further surgeries and rehabilitation.
