Details of the bids will be kept confidential, the Slovenian Sovereign Holding said. SSH, the state firm that controls state assets, manages a 69.87 percent stake in Adria Airways, while BAMC owns 19.63 percent. SSH owns an additional 2.08 percent stake.
Adria Airways boss Mark Anžur said back in January that he would like the buyer to be a small investor or a small airline.
In 2014, Adria Airways carried 1.113 million passengers, generated 921,000 euros in net profit and 3 million euros in operating profit. After years of operating in the red, the company returned to profitability.
Anžur last week declined to speculate on this year’s results, saying that everything would depend on the rest of the year. In the first 8 months of 2015, Adria Airways carried 16 percent more passengers than in the same period last year, but Anžur said that this increase was not reflected in the bottom line.
