Slovenia will make it to the semi-finals if they beat the Czechs, if Denmark beat Macedonia (or the two teams tie), and if Germany and Spain draw in the last match of the day. In that case, Slovenia would be the best ranked team out of the three (Slovenia, Spain, Germany), having five points. Slovenia has three points from its head-to-head encounters, Germany two, and Spain one. Denmark would finish in first position.
For fifth place in Zagreb on Friday at 15:30
A draw is not the most likely outcome of the match between Germany and Spain, but the championship so far has shown that hope and belief are needed until the very end. Of course, a victory against the Czechs would most probably take Slovenia to third spot, as it's highly unlikely that the tired Macedonians will be able to surprise the red-and-white Danish "dynamite". Finishing third in Group II would bring Slovenia a match for fifth place, to be played on Friday in Zagreb at 15:30 against the third-placed winner of Group I.
