Austrian President Heinz Fischer is ending his official two-day visit to Slovenia today. He was received by President Borut Pahor with military honors. After yesterday's meeting with representatives of the German-speaking ethnic minority, the pair was expected at the Bled Strategic Forum today.

Both highlighted excellent relations between Slovenia and Austria, touching the issue of tackling economic and financial problems, as well as, the need for a UN mandate over Syria.

Fischer emphasized that the best way Austria could help Slovenia was to support trade, exchange, cooperation and transfer of technology between the two countries.

Austria is Slovenia's third most important business partner.
