Slovenia beat the Ukraine by 6 points, 69:63. This is the second time that Slovenia finishes 5th at a Eurobasket matching its second best result. Slovenia was only better in 2009 in Poland, when it finished 4th. NBA player Goran Dragić led the team in last night's victory with 19 points.

The match for 7th place was also played yesterday. In it Serbia beat Italy 76:64, thus becoming the last European team to qualify for next year's basketball world championship.
