Minister of Labour Anja Kopač Mrak in her missive at the occasion of May 1 wrote that this year we do have cause for joy, and especially hope. She reminded that Slovenia is recuperating, and it has economic growth, which is already influencing the labour market, and should be even more noticeable in future.

She also hopes that due to economic growth the number of available jobs will increase, and that these would be more stable. More employment possibilities should result in less disrespectful attitude of the employers, as the possibility of choice would give more power to workers, she explained.

"Let's respect work, be happy we have it, and let's not forget our rights!" she appealed.
