According to the international organization, Slovenia is in violation of the international Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions. Despite the fact that Slovenia ratified the convention fourteen years ago, Transparency International has recorded numerous systemic shortcomings in its implementation.
For example, some courts fail to keep records of cases of international bribery, even though the Act on Integrity and Corruption Prevention requires that those cases be reported to the Anti-Corruption Commission. Some of the courts have not even responded to the questions raised by Transparency International.
