The series was filmed at the occasion of launching Facebook Watch platform, created with the intention of competing with online television providers, namely Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime.
The Facebook executive director Mark Zuckerberg has financed the production of a short list of shows which will enrich the initial offer of contents. Dunking Devils and F&B Acrobatics were chosen among the first performers and in cooperation with the online channel People Are Awesome the series Fly Guys was created. Last Friday the second episode was broadcasted, filmed in cooperation with the Slovenian Railways, where Dunking Devils perform a risky stunt action over a steam engine.
Filming took place in Slovenia
Facebook Watch platform is already available in the USA, and soon it will be available in Slovenia as well. The Slovenians can however already see the contents broadcasted on the platform, including the two first episodes of the Fly Guys series. Nine of ten episodes have been filmed in Slovenia – in Koper, Ljubljana, at the Bloško jezero lake, in the Verd quarry, at the Snežnik castle, on the Velika planina mountain, in the Slovenian Railway Museum...
For each of the ten episodes lasting 12-15 minutes the boys prepare and execute stunts which have never been seen before and which make the viewer's heart skip a beat. The camera follows their planning, tries and falls, all the way to the successful execution of the stunt. Only the second part of the series has been broadcasted, and yet it has already been seen by more than four million viewers.
