The first Avtomobilnost show of this year was dedicated to the selection of the Slovenian Car of the year for 2016, chosen by journalist of the seven largest media covering the field of automobilism. The winner became Opel Astra.
There were five finalists: Astra, Škoda Superb, Mazda CX-3, Audi A4, and Renault Kadjar, the cars voted for by 36,700 viewers, listeners, and readers of the media participating in the selection - including you, respected visitors of our RTV house media.
The journalists creating Automobilnost and Avtomobilsko-prometne minute (Minutes for Automobilism and traffic) on Val 202 gave our votes as well. We agree that Astra deserves the title of the Slovenian Car of the year, and we will try to explain our decision step by step.

All outstanding, but every one of them with minuses
Were we buying a new car, all the five finalists would certainly make it to the short list, but the decision certainly depends on specific needs and wishes of the buyer. All the mentioned models are outstanding, and in order to choose the winner we had to decide which of the extraordinary characteristics all of these cars posess was of the greatest importance.
