Slovenian Miss Ana Haložan had an accident early on in the competition. When washing her hair in the bathroom in preparation of the first photo shootings, Ms Haložan slipped, fell and hit her head hard against the bathroom floor.

She was immediately taken to a hospital for a check-up. She was admitted to the hospital and spent five days there. She was released on Thursday and instructed to rest in her hotel room. She is also not allowed to fly due to her injury, which is why she will need to stay in Las Vegas for some time. Her mother travelled to the States to take care of her.

Health comes first
The fate of her participation remained uncertain for several days, as the Miss Universe organizers’ committee had to decide about her potential appearance at the finals. The decision has now been made, and although Ana had hoped until the very last minute to be able to perform and represent Slovenia, the organizers have announced that participating in the contest would be too dangerous for her at this stage, adding that her health comes first.
