The temporary technical obstacles are being replaced with panel fencing at passes, in settlements, at tourist destinations, and at the areas where swollen waters could threaten these obstacles, was explained by the Ministry of Defence.
Some 167 km of temporary technical obstacles have been put up at the Slovenian-Croatian border at the moment. The razor-wire fence has been already replaced by the panel fencing on 11 kilometres of the border, "and the replacement is continuing as planned".
The panel fencing has already been set, or is being put up at the areas of the Police Directorates Maribor and Novo mesto, in the municipalities of Črnomelj, Metlika, Brežice, Ormož, Podlehnik, Zavrč, and recently along a part of the Dragonja river.
