Director general of the Employment Service Mavricija Batič explained to the journalists that they had decided to organize another open-door event because of the very positive response of the public they had last year. This year as well a number of happenings have been planned: from workshops, speed dating with employers, employers' offices.

According to Batič the purpose of speed dating is introducing employers to job-seekers, and vice versa. Speed dating with employers was introduced last year, and organized in all regional Employment Services. In a room a number of employers meet candidates who had been previously briefed and given advices on the appropriate manner of presentation, body language, and how to present the essential data in the shortest time possible.

After briefing, candidates for jobs have two days to prepare, and on the day of the »date« they have at their disposal exactly five minutes for a conversation with the potential employee.
