The main principles of student work remain the same, is what the Ministry of Labour says. Student work will still be supervized by student services on the basis of referrals without administrative costs. The contribution that students will have to set aside from their student work income is set at 15,5 percent, while the employer will have to set aside 8,85 percent.
The total burden for student employers will now be heavier, from the current 30,38% to 33,74%, starting Ferbuary 1st. So, for example, instead of receiving 100 euros a student will now receive 85 euros net, while the employer will have to put aside 133 euros, instead of the current 130 euros, to cover that cost.
Student employers will also have to pay for insurance against injury at work and occupational diseases at a rate of 0,53 percent, as well as for health insurance at a rate of 6,36 percent. All the concession fees for student work add up to another 18 percent.
