The Pipistrel company, owned by Ivo Boscarol, the entrepreneur from Ajdovščina, in cooperation with the National Institute German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), the H2FLY company from Stuttgart, and the University of Ulm, has developed a plane powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, named HydrogenFour - "Hy4" .
It is a four-seater powered by hydrogen and oxygen from the atmosphere, with water as the only waste product. It can be considered a technological and ecological superlative, as it is the first plane without any harmful emissions. The world premiere, the first flight of the German-Slovenian aircraft, is scheduled for September 29 at the Stuttgart Airport.
