The 17-year-old girl from Slovenia will receive an award in Brussels on the 8 April for winning a high school competition for young translators organized by the European Commission annually.

The European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, Androulla Vassiliou will confer the recognition to Drev. The competition was held in November.

Last month the names of 28 winners, one from each Member State, have been announced. The translation contest involved more than 3,000 teenagers from 750 high schools. Their translations have been evaluated by professional translators of the European Commission.
