Since then there has been an increasing number of transactions, showing that housing prices become more reasonable. At a national level, the average price per square meter for non-new housing is around 1.500 euros. The volume of new construction is modest, and many waiting for the bad bank to finally put around 2.000 new pieces of real estate on the market.
Locally, prices vary. In Ljubljana the price per square meter is around 2.000 euros and about 1.700 euros in the suburbs of the capital. In Koper the price is 1.800 euros, while other parts of the coast are 2.300 euros per square meter. In Kranj the price is 1.500, in Styria it’s 1.000.
