Monday’s negotiations between the Slovenian Ski Association and the agency in charge of TV rights marketing ended in success. The International Ski Federation confirmed that there will be training jumps on Thursday at 9 a.m. The first series of jumps, which will at the same time serve as qualification jumps for Friday’s event, will begin at 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, the 15th of March, TV SLO 1 will premiere a new documentary called Nova Planica (The New Planica) directed by Blaž Završnik. Another premiere will follow on Wednesday – a documentary called Leteti! (To Fly!) in which director and screenwriter Amir Muratovič goes beyond Slovenia to show how the boundaries of the sport are pushed by ski jumpers and those engineering the hills.

Together with Friday’s and Sunday’s individual competitions and Saturday’s team event, between the 17th and 20th of March Planica will host four World Cup events. Peter Prevc will have the opportunity to push Gregor Schlierenzauer’s record for most points won in one season (the Austrian won 2.083 points in the 2008/09 season) to untouchable realms. Prevc currently has 2.023 points.
