According to unofficial information, Cerar is thinking of forming a coalition with as many parties as possible. With this, he would avoid blackmail form potential partners. The road to forming any sort of coalition still seems long. The pensioner’s party Desus also took a step back, apparently, among other, bothered by potential coalition cooperation with New Slovenia, especially because of its unwavering attitude on reforms. The New Slovenia party’s president, Ljudmila Novak yesterday repeated that the New Slovenia sees itself only in a government, which will be able to make 5 reforms: a reform on pensions, a medical, judiciary as well as tax and labor market reform.
None of the potential coalition partner parties seem to be happy with the draft of the coalition areement. Desus is expressing its dissatisfaction because of the solutions on the pensioner's subsidy, New Slovenia is missing the reforms, The Social Democrats a social state and the Alliance of Alenka Bratušek is not pleased with the expected consolidation of public finances and the boost of the government. The parties summarized their displeasure in the comments which Cerar will receive today. The comments will also serve as a concrete foundation to start talks on coalition cooperation, scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
