The show stresses Slovenia's cultural and historical heritage, attractive features of the landscape, and the country’s economic and tourist potential. It places great stress on original Slovenian creativity.
Slovenian Magazine is mainly intended for foreign countries, as well as for Slovenians living around the world. It is a fortnightly show broadcast on TV Slovenija 1, every other Saturday at 3.25 p.m.
What to see in the first episode?
Today five stories will be shown: Planina Jezero is a wonderful piece of the mountains Fužinske planine above Lake Bohinj. In the Olimje Monastery the Brothers Minor keep alive the famous herbal tradition introduced by the Pavlin monks in the middle of the 17th century. The sculptor Milena Braniselj creates exquisite mobile sculptures. In the Sečovlje saltpans a Thalaso Spa Centre has been created, thus continuing the tradition of treatment with black salt-pan mud and brine. The lively atmosphere of the old city centre of Ljubljana, which in summer changes into a big open-air cafe with a stage on every corner, charms the visitors.
