According to data collected by Global Firepower, Slovenia has 84 tanks, 247 armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs), 54 towed artillery guns; the total number of aircrafts is 30 (15 transport and 15 training aircrafts), the number of military helicopters 16, while the Slovenian naval powers consist of two crafts.
Over 50 factors were considered, including the total number of population, the number of active frontline personnel, the number of aircrafts, boats, armoured vehicles, and the sources of financing. Based on these factors Global Firepower calculated each nation's power index, without taking into account nuclear capability of individual countries, national sources, or economic situation. The lower the power index, the larger is the military power of the country.
